Can I stop iOS/iPadOS updates?
You cannot stop updates themselves (Apple specification).
You can only use the feature that delays updates. With the Defer Software Updates feature, you can delay updates for up to 90 days from the OS release date.
While updates are deferred, the badge indicating that an update is available is not displayed, and both updates by device operation and automatic updates are prohibited.
In addition, the following message is displayed on the device under Settings > General > Software Update:
iOS/iPadOS x.x.x iPhone/iPad is running the latest software update approved by your administrator.
