Tapping a Web Clip icon does not open the screen

When you use a Web Clip with full screen mode turned off (OFF), Safari must be allowed.
Check whether the use of Safari is restricted in the following profile settings.

  • Safari must be allowed

  • Restrictions > Apps > Allow use of Safari = ON

  • If you are using [Allow only some apps], Safari must be included in the allowed apps

  • Restrictions > Apps > Restrict app usage (Supervised only, iOS 9.3+) > Allow only some apps
    Specify com.apple.mobilesafari on the Inhouse tab of the allowed apps.
    Note: If Application not found. is displayed, click Add anyway.

  • If you are using [Do not allow some apps], Safari must be removed from the disallowed apps

  • Restrictions > Apps > Restrict app usage (Supervised only, iOS 9.3+) > Do not allow some apps
    Remove com.apple.mobilesafari from the disallowed apps.
