I want to reinstall an app on specific devices only

How to do it individually on an iOS / iPadOS device
You can specify an installed app on the target device and reinstall it.
For the procedure, see If you want to reinstall the app on the manual page below.
Update / reinstall apps on specific devices individually

How to do it for multiple apps on multiple iOS / iPadOS devices at once (or for other OSs)
You can reinstall an app by temporarily moving the target devices to a working template.
Uninstall the target app from the devices in the working template, and then return the devices to the original template to reinstall the app.
You can easily create a working template by using the template copy feature.

  1. Open the detail screen of the template to which the devices are assigned.
  2. Copy the template with the Copy Template button.
    For details, see here.
  3. On the edit screen of the copied template, remove the assignment of the app you want to uninstall.
  4. On the edit screen of the copied template, assign the target devices.
  5. On the edit screen of the copied template, click the Save & Sync button.
  6. Confirm that the sync status of the devices is Synchronized (or that the app has been deleted on the devices).
  7. Assign the devices back to the original (pre-copy) template.
  8. Confirm that the sync status of the devices has become Synchronized.

Note: If the sync status of a device does not become Synchronized, see the following.
FAQ: Synchronized is not displayed.
