What happens when the VPP token expires?

When the token expires, you can no longer manage any apps purchased in Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Manager).

  • Apps cannot be newly installed
  • Apps cannot be updated
  • Apps (licenses) cannot be reclaimed

This affects all apps distributed from templates and all apps managed in the application catalog.

Before the token expires, renew it by following the page below.

  • Apps that are already installed can still be used on devices after the token expires.
  • The token can still be renewed after it expires.
