Can users update apps distributed from MDM by operating the device?
Under either of the following conditions, apps can be updated only by a command from MDM, so device users cannot update them by themselves. In all other cases, users can update them.
・VPP apps
・Regular apps with app installation prohibited by a profile restriction
The update command is executed according to the Auto Update setting. For the auto update setting, see here.
To let device users update VPP apps by themselves, you can use the optional Application Catalog service.
After you install the dedicated BizGo! Catalog app on the device, users can update VPP apps from within BizGo! Catalog.
