The server with the specified hostname could not be found
◆ Cause
Enrollment was performed before the import of device information from Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Manager) to BizMobile Go! was complete, so the device could not be recognized as an ADE device and enrollment failed.
◆ Explanation
For both devices registered in Apple Business with Apple Configurator and devices already registered in Apple Business by the seller at purchase, the import of the device serial information from Apple Business to BizMobile Go! must be complete before you enroll the device.
Device serial information is imported automatically about every 10 minutes.
Example failure messages:
Unable to download your \\\*\\\*\\\* configuration from \\\*\\\*\\\*\\\*. The server with the specified hostname could not be found.Unable to retrieve the configuration.
◆ Solution
After registering the device in Apple Business, wait up to about 10 minutes, or check the following status in the BizMobile Go! admin console, and then enroll the device.
- [AUTO ENROLLMENT] → [Device]
→ The serial number is displayed
→ Profile Status is "assigned"
The status is "assigning" before the import is complete, and "assigned" once the import is complete.
◆ What to do after enrollment has failed
When this issue occurs, activation cannot continue, so the device must be erased using recovery mode.
After erasing the device using recovery mode, enroll it.
- Put your iPhone or iPod touch in recovery mode and set it up again

If none of the above applies, see the following FAQ and check whether any setup steps are missing.
The Remote Management screen is not displayed during enrollment even though the device information shows Enroll using ADE (formerly DEP)
