The screenshots in this manual show the Japanese version of each screen.

The Remote Management / Device Management screen is not displayed during enrollment even though the device information shows Enroll using ADE (formerly DEP)

The following are possible causes.

  1. ADE sync is not performed correctly
Check Last sync at: in AUTO ENROLLMENT > Apple ADE > Device. If it is not updated at 10-minute intervals, log in to Apple Business (formerly Apple Business Manager) and check whether you are being asked to agree to the terms of use.
If you have already agreed to the terms of use, the ADE token may have expired, so renew the ADE token.
    Manual: Renew the ADE token

  2. The ADE device has not been assigned
Check whether the serial number of the device is displayed in AUTO ENROLLMENT > Apple ADE > Device. If it is not displayed, assign the device.
Manual: Register ADE devices on the server

  3. The ADE profile is not assigned correctly
Check the Profile Status of the device in AUTO ENROLLMENT > Apple ADE > Device. If it is not assigning or assigned, apply an ADE profile.
If you set a Default ADE Profile, you no longer need to do this for subsequent devices.
    Manual: ADE profile

  4. Activation was performed before the ADE profile assignment was complete
If activation is complete and the profile status is not pushed, activation was performed before the profile status became assigned. After confirming that the profile status is assigned, erase the device and activate it again.

  5. Temporary failure
Even if there is no problem with the settings in 1) to 4) above, activation may fail because of temporary effects such as the network environment.
In this case, if you can go back to the previous screen, go back to the network settings screen and try activation again.
If the issue is not resolved, erase the device and activate it again.
