I want to check the location of a lost device

You can check the location of a device if either of the following applies.

In either case, the device must be powered on, connected to the internet, and able to communicate with the server. If the device cannot communicate with the server, location-related commands from the server are executed once the device is able to communicate with the server again.

Case 1: The device management mode is "Supervised" or "Device Owner mode"

note
  • iOS, iPadOS: Devices managed as supervised
  • Android: Devices managed in Device Owner mode

In this case, you can force the device to report its location by using "Admin Lock".

Case 2: The device management mode is "Unsupervised" or "Work Profile"

note
  • iOS, iPadOS: Devices managed as unsupervised
  • Android: Devices managed in Work Profile mode

This mainly applies when personally owned devices are used for work (BYOD). In this case, you can check the location only if you have subscribed to the "location option service" and it is in use on the device.

Conditions for retrieving the location

  • The device's location setting is "Always", and the conditions for the BizGo! Air app to access location are met.
