VPP App License Calculation and Installation Conditions

BizMobile Go! automatically calculates VPP app licenses and controls actions such as distribution to managed devices based on the following conditions.

Conditions under which a license is in use (all of the following must be met)

  • The VPP app is registered in a template, and a managed device is associated with the template
  • (Only for distribution by User) The user's VPP registration status is Registered or Associated, and the user is associated with the device above

Conditions under which a VPP app is installed (all of the following must be met)

  • The VPP app is registered in a template, and a managed device is associated with the template

  • (Only for distribution by Device) A VPP app license is assigned to the managed device, and (app identifier (app name)): Installation by sync is required appears in the Sync Status of the managed device
    VPP app licenses are assigned automatically at 5-minute intervals. Immediately after enrollment only, the managed device is synced automatically once license assignment is complete.

  • (Only for distribution by User) The user's VPP registration status is Associated, and the user is associated with the device above

  • (Only for distribution by User) The app appears in the Purchased list of the App Store app on the managed device

Conditions under which a license is reclaimed and the app is removed from the managed device (any one of the following)

  • (Only for distribution by User) The VPP user becomes Retired while the license is in use
  • The device's template is changed from a template that meets the above conditions to one that does not
  • The VPP app is removed from a template that meets the above conditions
