Android Deployment Flow with Zero-touch Enrollment (Device Owner)
This page explains how to deploy devices using zero-touch enrollment. It is intended for people who are new to BizMobile Go!, are about to start preparing devices for deployment, or are taking over management of devices already in operation.
Zero-touch enrollment lets you automate part of MDM enrollment.
To use it, you must purchase zero-touch compatible devices from a reseller designated by Google. For details, see Android Zero-touch.
In BizMobile Go!, you prepare the device and user information in advance. In the device information, register the same IMEI or serial number that you registered in the Zero-touch Portal.
To enroll a device in MDM, reset it and simply follow the on-screen instructions to make it ready for use (activation). Everything from Device Owner setup to check-in to BizMobile Go! then completes automatically.
With zero-touch enrollment, you do not need to recreate the device information even if a device needs to be checked in again.
This page describes the basic steps common to device management, followed by the deployment steps for zero-touch enrollment, in order. You can also read only the steps you need.
